The Hidden Forest Wildlife Sanctuary has two new primates. These Geoffroy’s spider monkeys or Black-handed spider monkeys were confiscated from Bloemfontein Zoo by the Bloemfontein SPCA earlier this year.

They have been at our sister sanctuary in Plettenberg Bay for the last few months, getting the best care.

Having both been given a clean bill of health they relocated to The Hidden Forest Wildlife Sanctuary. They will now spend some time in our pre-release/rehabilitation enclosures before their release into the forest.

We're so proud to be able to give a happy ending for these spider monkeys and look forward to sharing their progress with you over the coming months.
